Over the weekend, Tina Smith decided to let voters know how out of touch she is by endorsing left-wing radical Keith Ellison for Minnesota attorney general.

By backing Ellison’s run, Smith is tying herself to his controversial past which includes:

  • Lengthy and well-documented ties to anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan, who recently preached about “the Satanic Jews who have infected the whole world with poison and deceit.”
  • Tweeting out support for the left-wing terrorist group Antifa.
  • Embracing the radical economic idea of instituting a ‘maximum wage’ which would create a 100% tax on individuals’ earnings over a certain threshold.
  • Pushing to impeach President Trump.

“Tina Smith’s warm embrace of Keith Ellison and his controversial past should be cause for concern among Minnesota voters,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “While voters are looking for someone who will stand up for their values and deliver for the middle class, Tina Smith continues to side with the radical ideas espoused by Ellison and the far left wing of the Democratic Party in Washington.”
