Tammy Baldwin is having a really bad start to 2018. After fumbling the Schumer Shutdown, which resulted in her being labeled as a Schumer Sellout by her liberal Democratic base, things are now getting worse as Hartland-based Town Bank announced it would raise its starting wage to $15 thanks to the GOP tax relief plan Tammy voted against.
Town Bank is joining a growing list of Wisconsin banks raising their minimum wage to $15, and over 600 Wisconsin employees will directly benefit from Town Bank’s pay raises. Tammy Baldwin should be thrilled, right? She’s continuously advocated for the minimum wage to be raised to $15 and has even cosponsored legislation to raise the wage. So why is she so quiet now?
“Tammy Baldwin is evidently only in favor of higher wages if liberals are the ones doling them out,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “It’s time for Baldwin to explain to Wisconsinites why she voted against a plan that is already putting more money in their pockets.”
