Remember that time Jon Tester promised Montana he wouldn’t “sell you down the road by cutting deals with K Street lobbyists?”

Well, apparently Tester only meant he wouldn’t sell you down the road…. unless the campaign check was big enough.

A new report this afternoon from the Washington Free Beacon spells out in detail the special relationship Tester enjoys with Washington’s big bank lobbyists, in particular, with his former staffer who left to lobby for JPMorgan Chase – the bank that, according to the report, also lent Tester the money to finance his million dollar “Cosmopolitan Castle” where he lives in Washington D.C.

Two Faced Tester has become a real pro at saying one thing in Montana and doing another in Washington, but moves like this take Tester’s two-faced duplicity to a new low.

“Stories like this are proof positive that Montanans are playing second fiddle to Tester’s favorite Washington lobbyists,” said NRSC Spokesman Calvin Moore. “Tester sold out Montana to the highest bidder, making clear why voters need to replace him with a fighter they can trust to put them first, Matt Rosendale.”
