Nevada voters have a major problem with Jacky Rosen’s dangerous decision to support lawbreaking illegal immigrants taking refuge in sanctuary cities.
The Nevada Independent highlighted the sanctuary cities issue heading into the 2018 election, and it’s not looking good for Rosen. Among the article’s observations:
• 80 percent of voters believe local law enforcement should be required to turn unauthorized immigrants they arrest for crimes over to immigration authorities.
• 90 percent of Republican primary voters in Southern Nevada think that cracking down on “illegal immigration” is either a very important or important issue.
• The issue is already having a local impact. Democratic Nevada State Senator Joyce Woodhouse is being recalled because of a “sanctuary city” bill she had supported.
“Nevada voters will hold Jacky Rosen accountable for supporting lawbreaking illegal immigrants,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “Rosen’s dangerous stance unnecessarily places Nevada’s families at risk.”
BACKGROUND:
Rosen voted against H.R. 3003, No Sanctuary for Criminals Act, which will restrict states and localities from receiving federal funding if they refuse to comply with federal laws related to deporting criminals.
She also voted against H.R. 3004, Kate’s Law, which will deter illegal reentry and keep criminals off our streets.
