Welcome to Roy Cooper’s Worst of the Worst Wednesday.

Claudy Ngoy is a criminal illegal alien from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, convicted for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill in the sanctuary district of Wake County, North Carolina.

Thanks to Roy Cooper turning North Carolina into a sanctuary state, Ngoy was never handed over to ICE despite his long rap sheet and was allowed to continue committing crimes. Ngoy was only indicted and arrested by ICE after Cooper left office.

Under Cooper’s sanctuary policies and soft-on-crime regime, Ngoy was charged with several crimes but was never handed over to ICE . Some of his charges were dropped by Cooper’s Democrat ally, District Attorney Lorrin Freeman.

  • Charged with second degree trespass, intoxicated and disruptive, and resisting a public officer. The charges was dropped by DA Freeman.
  • Possession of a controlled substance on prison or jail premises. Again, the charge was dropped by DA Freeman.
  • First degree trespassing.
  • Second degree trespassing. Again, the charge was dropped by DA Freeman.
  • Breaking and entering, larceny, and resisting a public officer. Ngoy was released back onto the streets.
  • Second degree trespassing. Ngoy was released back onto the streets.
  • Assault on a female. Ngoy was released back onto the streets.

Finally, after Cooper left office, Ngoy was indicted for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and ICE was able to take him off the streets

“Ngoy should have been immediately deported after his first arrest, but Roy Cooper and his soft-on-crime allies protected this criminal illegal from justice,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia
