Welcome to Roy Cooper’s Worst of the Worst Wednesday.
Ammar Al Salameh is a criminal illegal alien from Syria arrested in Lillington, North Carolina for larceny, evading law enforcement, vehicle theft, probation violation, and possession of a stolen vehicle.
But Roy Cooper turned North Carolina into a sanctuary state, allowing dangerous illegal aliens like Salameh to roam free and put North Carolinians in danger despite his long rap sheet.
Cooper vetoed three pieces of legislation that would have required local sheriffs to cooperate with federal immigration authorities and get dangerous criminals like Salameh off the streets.

- Stealing by using false pretense.
- Misdemeanor larceny.
- Larceny of a motor vehicle.
- Felony larceny of motor vehicle.
- Felony possession of stolen goods.
- Communicating threats.
- Stealing by using false pretense again.
- Breaking a court-ordered restraining order tied to a domestic relationship.
- Larceny after felony breaking and entering.
“Roy Cooper released thousands of criminals from prison early, campaigns with child molesters, and fought to protect criminal illegal aliens like Salameh from deportation. North Carolinians are less safe thanks to Cooper’s far-left agenda,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia.
