WASHINGTON, D.C. — Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats like Jon Ossoff just voted again to force military families to go without pay and veterans to go without critical services in pursuit of radical demands that include funding free healthcare for illegal aliens, $1.5 trillion in new wasteful spending, and cutting $50 billion in funding for rural hospitals provided by the Working Family Tax Cuts. What’s worse? They’re doing it as part of a coordinated, months-long campaign to appease their radical Democrat base.

“Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats are holding the entire country hostage in the hopes of restoring Biden-era free healthcare for illegal aliens,” said NRSC Communications Director Joanna Rodriguez. “Hard-working families in battleground states like Georgia won’t forget the pain that Democrats like Jon Ossoff inflicted on military families forced to go without pay, veterans unable to access lifesaving services, and small businesses and workers whose livelihoods are being destroyed.”

Schumer’s Shutdown is:

Senate Democrats are demanding $1.5 trillion in spending increases to end the shutdown and:

  • Revoke $50 billion in rural health care funding
  • Restore Biden-era free healthcare for illegal aliens
  • Expand taxpayer-funded Medicaid to unemployed, able-bodied individuals without dependents under 14 years old
  • Eliminate Republican-passed fraud protections for taxpayer benefits like Medicaid and SNAP
