Senate Democrats once again proved they are more interested in playing partisan politics than governing as they delayed the Senate Judiciary Committee vote on Supreme Court Nominee Judge Neil Gorsuch.
Despite last week’s overwhelmingly positive confirmation hearings, Democrats would rather drag their feet than move forward with a qualified candidate to fill the vacant Supreme Court seat. By blindly following Washington’s liberal elite, Senate Democrats are leaving a vacancy despite their previous insistence that #WeNeedNine for the Court to properly function. Democrats are siding with the radical leadership of Chuck Schumer strictly to play obstructionist games.
“The American people are growing tired of Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats’ petty political games,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “It’s time for Senate Democrats to rise above party politics and stop their shameful obstruction of Judge Neil Gorsuch’s confirmation.”
