Washington, D.C. – Senate Democrats are in a crisis of their own making, and they have no idea how to stop the bleeding. Across the country, paychecks aren’t stretching as far as they once were as the price of everything from gas to groceries reach a 40-year high.
When asked about any plans to reverse the inflation crisis they created, Senate Democrats were caught flat footed, refused to take responsibility, and even suggested spending trillions more.
Mark Kelly: “That’s not good.”
Raphael Warnock: “And we need to deal with the ways in which there are some corporate actors who seem to be exploiting this pandemic.”
Catherine Cortez Masto: “… continuing to put more money in their pocket through continuing and extending the Child Tax Credit. Subsidies for the Affordable Care Act.”
Forecasting even more trouble for these Senate Democrats, a new poll from CNN found that just 18% of voters have confidence in Joe Biden to deal with the economy, such as getting inflation under control. But Maggie Hassan, Mark Kelly, Raphael Warnock, Catherine Cortez Masto, and Michael Bennet have full confidence in the Biden economic agenda – they’ve rubber stamped Joe Biden’s entire agenda!
It’s past time for Senate Democrats to take responsibility for making life harder for families and job creators.
