Washington, D.C. – Senate Democrats think it’s more important to tax Americans than protect Americans by securing our border. They voted UNANIMOUSLY against Senator Rick Scott’s measure to prioritize hiring border patrol agents to secure our Southern Border over IRS audit agents.
The Biden administration’s and Democrats’ open borders policies have created a crisis at our border, putting our communities in danger. Last month, there was a record-breaking number of illegal border crossings. But Democrats are still silent about these record-breaking numbers and only concerned with taxing Americans.
Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Lizzie Litzow: “Senate Democrats just proved that they care more about taxing Americans than securing our border. Biden’s border crisis is wreaking havoc on our communities, but Democrats can only think about auditing American taxpayers when they’re already struggling to make ends meet (thanks to the Democrats’ reckless spending, by the way).”
