Thanks to Senator Dan Sullivan, $25 billion was invested in Alaska’s Coast Guard through the Alaska Opportunity Act — the largest in history.
- $971 million for housing, fuel pier, and the child development center for the Coast Guard Base at Kodiak.
- $300 million for the Coast Guard’s new Storis icebreaker to be homeported in Juneau. This is one of four icebreakers to be homeported in Alaska.
- $57.5M for Sitka and $73.5M for Seward, homeporting icebreakers, offshore patrol and fast response cutters.
In total, Sullivan has delivered $1.4 billion for Alaska Coast Guard projects.
Meanwhile, Mary Peltola stayed silent while her liberal Lower 48 allies kept the Coast Guard unfunded to give free healthcare to illegal aliens.
“Senator Dan Sullivan is delivering historic wins for Alaska’s Coast Guard because Sullivan puts Alaska first,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia.
