Senator Dan Sullivan ended Mary Peltola and Joe Biden’s lockdown of Alaska’s energy production.
Reminder: Peltola actively whipped votes against her own bill to end the lockdown. Then she voted present.
But thanks to Senator Sullivan’s Alaska Opportunity Act, the lockdown is over.
- Mandatory lease sales opened roughly 30 million acres across Alaska.
- ANWR lease sales opened, unlocking North Slope jobs and increased revenue.
- Cook inlet leases and production are supporting Southcentral energy jobs.
- $17 billion in increased revenue from oil and gas leasing.
“Senator Dan S. Sullivan’s Alaska First agenda is a shot in the arm for Alaska’s energy sector after years of Mary Peltola letting Lower 48 liberals like Kamala Harris lock Alaska down, halt production, and kill good-paying jobs,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia.
