Senator Dan S. Sullivan has delivered over $170 million to improve Alaskan aviation safety, including $120 million from Sullivan’s Alaska Opportunity Act.
Sullivan’s hard work is keeping more Alaskans in the air safe by delivering:
- More weather observing systems and weather camera sites to ensure Alaska pilots have the technology they need to fly safe.
- $40 million in funding for the Alaska Aviation Safety Initiative, securing 50 new automated systems, 60 visual systems, 64 new weather cameras and more.
- $12.5 billion for nationwide air traffic control reform and upgrades.
- Statewide investments for airport upgrades of $58.7 million for Kenai, $48 million for Bethel, $24.4 million for Palmer and $16.5 million for Valdez.
“Unlike Mary Peltola, Senator Dan S. Sullivan has a proven track record of putting Alaskans first and delivering on his promises. Senator Sullivan will continue having hardworking Alaskans’ backs in the skies,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia.
