Despite overwhelming support from Americans requiring voter ID in elections, Sherrod Brown thinks it “unnecessary.” Brown’s comment comes after Senator Jon Husted offered Senate Democrats a vote on a measure that simply requires voter ID across the country. Chuck Schumer claimed Democrats aren’t opposed to photo ID, but then Democrats voted against Husted’s measure.

Of course, Brown would have voted against the measure too. But here’s a couple questions for Brown:

  • What does Brown say to the over 80% of Americans who support voter ID?
  • Does Brown agree that only Americans should vote in American elections?
  • Does Brown think requiring voter ID is a barrier to minorities voting?
  • Did Brown use a photo ID to vote for himself in elections for over half a century?

“Requiring photo ID in elections is supported by an overwhelming majority of Americans, but Sherrod Brown is out of touch and solely focused on selling out to the radical left,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia
