Sherrod Brown says in his new ad that he’ll fight “billionaires” and “corporations.” But Brown is backed and funded by the same people he claims to oppose, and his 32 year record in Washington proved that he actually worked for them.
Over his three decades in Washington, Brown took:
- Nearly $4.9 million in campaign cash from billionaires and Wall Street.
- Nearly $400,000 from insurance lobbyists and corporate pacs.
- At least $237,000 from opioid giants.
In a stunning moment of hypocrisy, Brown posted just yesterday that he’s “running to take on the drug, utility, and insurance companies – Jon Husted is just taking their money.”
That’s literally what Sherrod Brown did for 32 years, and is currently doing.
“Sherrod Brown spent 32 years in Washington bending the knee to his billionaire and corporation donors while he voted to raise taxes on Ohio families and protect criminal illegals from deportation,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia.
