Thanks to Jon Husted’s Working Families Tax Cuts eliminating tax on overtime, hundreds of thousands of Ohioans who work overtime have more money in their pockets. The average worker saw over a $1,400 tax cut. That’s real relief for the 75% of claimants who earned under $100,000.
Ohio’s manufacturing base employs roughly 690,000 workers who fuel the state’s economy. But Sherrod Brown wants to tax their overtime, taking money out of the pockets of Ohioans who depend on overtime to pay the bills.
“Brown spent 32 years in Washington fighting to replace hardworking Ohioans in the state’s critical manufacturing sector with illegal aliens, and now he wants to tax their overtime to give free healthcare to illegals. Brown puts Ohio last,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia.
Reminder: Under Sherrod Brown’s failed decades in Washington, Ohio lost at least 300,000 manufacturing jobs.
