Washington, D.C. – Last week, several dozen House Democrats signed a letter critical of the Biden administration’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Despite being a veteran, but to no one’s surprise, Congressman Conor Lamb’s signature was ABSENT from the letter.
As the Delaware Valley Journal put it: “Nationwide, some moderate Democrats appear to have calculated the safest bet is to appear essentially noncommittal on the Afghanistan issue. That certainly appears to be Lamb’s strategy.”
But the withdrawal was a complete and utter failure and is putting American civilians and allies in harm’s way. Lamb’s silence, and his political posturing, is helping no one! He’s more focused on politics than helping American troops and American citizens who are in harm’s way.
Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Lizzie Litzow: “Conor Lamb needs to stop playing partisan politics and condemn President Biden and his administration for the sake of our nation, our troops, and our allies. His loyalty clearly lies with Biden and national Democrats, not Pennsylvanians and clearly not with our servicemen and women.”
