Sleepin’ Joe Donnelly is feeling the heat from both sides as Judge Brett Kavanaugh makes the rounds in the Capitol.

With polls showing a majority of Hoosiers want to see Judge Kavanaugh confirmed, and West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin set to become the first Democrat to meet with the nominee this afternoon, the pressure is on Sleepin’ Joe to do the right thing and support Judge Kavanaugh. But Politico is reporting that Sleepin’ Joe’s Democratic Party boss in Washington, New York Senator Chuck Schumer, has instructed Democrats to “Keep your powder dry. Don’t commit, Stay as neutral as you can, as long as you can,” as liberals attempt to derail Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation.

So far, Sleepin’ Joe has taken Schumer’s advice, refusing to say whether he’ll vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh. And Hoosiers are running out of patience.

“Hoosiers are clear that they want Judge Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court, but all Sleepin’ Joe Donnelly and his Democrat allies are doing is dragging their feet in an attempt to delay a vote,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “It’s past time for Sleepin’Joe to stop beating around the bush and tell Hoosiers whether he’ll vote to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh.”
