It’s National Small Business Week and small businesses across the country have extra reason to celebrate thanks to the passage of the GOP tax cuts. In a recent survey, 72% of small businesses say expansion and hiring will be a top priority this year, meaning the new job opportunities Americans are seeing as a result of the tax cuts are just beginning.

Though red state Democrats claim they support small business, every single Senate Democrat voted against the tax relief plan that over half of small business owners believe will cut their taxes this year. As a result of having to send less money to Washington, small businesses in a variety of industries have provided bonuses, wage increases and additional investments to their employees. Yet, despite the good news, red state Democrats are dead set on taking away the economic benefits the tax cuts have created.

As red state Democrats attempt to hypocritically highlight their support of small businesses this week, they need to make a choice – side with hardworking job creators and workers reaping the benefits of tax reform, or side with their party’s leadership threatening to repeal the GOP tax cuts.
