Tina Smith’s uninspiring campaign is out with its first tv ad, which fails to provide any meaningful solutions for Minnesotans. Smith’s lack of substantive ideas shouldn’t come as a surprise, given her lackluster career as political insider and record of obstruction as Minnesota’s junior Senator.
During her brief time in office, Smith has prided herself on siding with the most liberal elements of the Democratic Party, voting to shut down the government, rejecting President Trump’s national security nominees and vowing to take away the tax cuts making a difference for middle-class Minnesotans. And when she’s not voting with Chuck Schumer, she’s been busy lying to voters and refusing to speak out against her anti-Semitic friend Keith Ellison.
“Tina Smith’s partisan antics are a red flag for Minnesotans who expect their elected officials to work across the aisle and get things done,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “Smith’s out-of-touch record and radical positions on everything from tax cuts to national security will make her candidacy unpalatable for voters come November.”
