WASHINGTON – The Washington Post pointed out earlier this month that Senate Democrats are lying to their constituents instead of legislating when it comes to tax relief. Senate Dems even got the hard-to-get four Pinocchios for their lies! Democrats are clearly in disarray, and it’s a lonely time for them in Washington, so the NRSC sent some friends who share Senate Dems’ #1 hobby of lying to this afternoon’s joint press conference on taxes with Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi.
Faced with a Republican plan that will provide a much-needed tax cut to the middle class, Senate Democrats have been left with no real explanation for their obstruction. Even after the Washington Post awarded Senate Democrats, including Bob Casey, Kamala Harris and Jeff Merkley, four Pinocchios for proclaiming that Republicans were raising taxes on the middle class, Chuck Schumer and company continue to repeat their same discredited talking points.
