Career politician Debbie Stabenow has failed to deliver for Michigan time and again, and her record stood in stark contrast to John James in today’s debate in Detroit.
For decades, Stabenow oversaw the destruction of Detroit’s auto industry alongside Jennifer Granholm and has been a reliable rubber stamp for the liberal left. Combat veteran John James has made it clear that Stabenow has been ineffective throughout her 43 years in office and has fought tooth and nail to oppose the President, even voting against commonsense policies like the tax cuts saving Michiganders more of their hard-earned paycheck.
“Debbie Stabenow has made a career of siding with Jennifer Granholm and Washington liberals, and there’s no reason for Michiganders to believe she’s going to change her decades-old ways now,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “John James has a tested record as a businessman and combat veteran, and Michiganders can’t afford to send ineffective career politician Debbie Stabenow back to Washington.”
