Washington, D.C. – Democrats are trying to push through the “Bernie special” – a $3.5 trillion (actually $5.5 trillion) socialist tax and spending bill – in the House. In typical Democrat fashion, they’re moving forward without an actual bill for members to review. Why? Because they don’t want anyone to see what’s in it.

While we know Senate hopeful and Pelosi’s favorite puppet Val Demings will follow Democrat leadership’s lead and vote for whatever they tell her to, her colleague Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy expressed concern about the process, just as she did last month. Unless they are given the time to read through the whole bill she says she will vote no on the Ways & Means provisions in committee.

Can we expect the same common-sense response from Demings? We aren’t holding our breath, and neither should you.

Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Priscilla Ivasco: “Once again, Val Demings refuses to stand up to party leadership in Washington, unlike her colleague Stephanie Murphy, who is voicing serious concerns about moving forward with a bill that’s not finished. Demings continues to blindly follow the lead of Nancy Pelosi. She has made it clear she is all in on the socialist tax and spending spree and would rather stay in the ‘Squad’s’ good graces than fight for Florida families.”
