After yet another rough week on the trail for “Retread” Ted Strickland, Cincinnati’s WCPO covered a campaign event this weekend with special guest P.G. Sittenfeld, Strickland’s former Democratic primary opponent.

The event was described by WCPO as an effort to “re-energize [Strickland’s] struggling U.S. Senate bid.”

Ironically, WCPO noted that it was Sittenfeld, not Strickland, who fired up the crowd:

“Yet it was Cincinnati City Councilman P.G. Sittenfeld who drew the most attention when he took the podium…”

Strickland’s campaign was also depicted by Crain’s Cleveland Business over the weekend with an illustration of a broken down bus and a sleeping Strickland under the watchful eye of a vulture:
