Senator Susan Collins has never missed a vote and just set a new record for the longest perfect vote streak in the history of the United States Senate. As the first ever Republican woman to chair the powerful Senate Appropriations Committee, there is no one who works harder to deliver for Maine than Susan Collins.

“Susan Collins has never missed a day of work and the results speak for themselves,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell. “Mainers know they can trust Susan Collins to always keep her promises and deliver for the Pine Tree State.”

No one works harder for Maine than Susan Collins:

  • As Chairman of the powerful Senate Appropriations Committee, in the past five years alone, she secured nearly $1.5 billion in congressionally directed spending for more than 650 community projects in all 16 Maine counties.
  • Collins authored the bipartisan Social Security Fairness Act, which restored full Social Security benefits for more than 25,000 of Maine’s seniors, including retired teachers, police, and firefighters.
  • As co-chair of the Senate Alzheimer’s Task Force, Senator Collins has worked to dramatically increase federal investment in Alzheimer’s disease research. She secured a $100 million increase for Alzheimer’s research at NIH in Fiscal Year 2026, bringing total investment to $3.9 billion this year.
