Jacky Rosen’s ineffectiveness was once again on full display today, as she failed to stop the House of Representatives from passing legislation to fund Yucca Mountain, which would turn Nevada into the nation’s nuclear waste dump.

The first-term lawmaker has now failed on multiple occasions to stop this dangerous initiative from being funded. Meanwhile, Senator Dean Heller has successfully stopped Yucca Mountain repeatedly and will continue to ensure Nevadans aren’t put at risk from this project. Nevada pundit Jon Ralston recently highlighted Rosen’s ineffectiveness and the threat Yucca Mountain would pose, if she were elected to the US Senate, saying, “Jacky Rosen, if she were to get elected, is going to be a back-bencher freshman. I just don’t see that being a factor at all in stopping Yucca Mountain.”

Instead of spending her time cozying up to liberal donors in California, Rosen should focus on doing her job. In the meantime, it’s clear Nevadans can’t trust Jacky Rosen to stop their backyards from being turned into a nuclear waste dump.
