Another fundraising quarter ends and Jon Tester shows his true colors once again. Accepting cash from special interest groups and a majority of donations from outside of Montana.
Here are the facts:
Over 88 Percent Of Tester’s Quarter 2 Individual Contributions Are From Out-Of-State.
- In Quarter 2 of 2017, Tester raised over $1M from individual donors, with over 88% coming from out of state donors. (Montanans For Tester, FEC Report, Accessed 7/19/17)
Tester Raised More Money From California, New York, And The Washington D.C. Area Than Montana In The 2nd Quarter Of 2017. (Montanans For Tester, FEC Report, Accessed 7/19/17)
The League Of Conservation Voters Donated And Directed Over $65,000 To Jon Tester’s Re-Election Campaign in Quarter 2 of 2017. (Montanans For Tester, FEC Report, Accessed 7/19/17)
These special interest donations come as no surprise since Jon Tester already changed his tune on outside spending and continues to show his dark money hypocrisy.
February 2017: “I’m certainly not going let a group come in that’s funded by folks outside the state of Montana.“ (KPAX, 2/22/2017)
May 2017: “I don’t have the money for ads right now… Tester goes on to say– he appreciates anyone who would try to help.“ (ABC-Missoula, 5/30/2017)
Special interest groups have already spent millions on TV defending Jon Tester’s dangerous record this year. Accepting special interest cash and a campaign funded by New York and California liberals is just the latest example of Jon Tester’s broken promises.
