That’s not all. Kander also accused President George W. Bush of ‘yielding’ to terrorists by pushing for tax relief:

Jason Kander’s Heartland Democrats Of America Blog Claimed President George W. Bush “Yielded” To Terrorists By Pushing For Tax Relief. “London today was hit with a terrorist attack, killing dozens and injuring hundreds. I can’t think of a single person who isn’t grieving for their losses. In the midst of my own sadness, our own President’s words caused me to reflect back on the aftermath of the attacks on Sept. 11. Hours ago, he rightly said that ‘we will not yield to these people’ But then I started getting frustrated. Here in America, Bush has yielded to these people, over and over again…Whether or not you agreed to go into Iraq is irrelevant to this question. You might think of Iraq as a grand offensive in the War on Terror, or you might see it as a profound diversion from our efforts. In any case, surely no person can support our President’s unwillingness to secure the homeland in the face of other priorities (massive, unnecessary tax cuts for multimillionaires).” (“Fighting Terror,” Heartland Democrats of America Blog, Posted July 2005)
- Kander’s Blog Said The 2005 London Attacks Should “Serve As A Reminder That, Four Years After The Fact, The Republicans In Washington Still Refuse To Heed Democratic Calls To Repeal Bush’s Tax Cuts For Rich Folks…” “London should serve as a reminder that, four years after the fact, the Republicans in Washington still refuse to heed Democratic calls to repeal Bush’s tax cuts for rich folks, thereby giving us more revenue to work with to secure America. Just a few of the things they refuse to do: pay to secure our ports. Pay to secure our chemical facilities. Pay to secure loose Russian nuclear material that sits in the equivalent of bicycle lockers behind poorly paid guards. To avoid more attacks, we’ve got to get those Republicans out of Washington. They’re not fighting this War on Terror the right way. Any comprehensive anti-terror strategy has at its heart securing the homeland, but the fiscally-reckless Republicans can’t find the money to do it. It’s time to secure the nation the smart way, and the only way to do that is to elect fiscally-responsible Democrats to office to make America safer.” (“Fighting Terror,” Heartland Democrats of America Blog, Posted July 2005)
In case you forgot, this is the same Jason Kander who wanted to fight terrorism with the Peace Corps. And sided with Obama on Guantanamo. And supported radical environmental regulations that would have put Missourians out of work.
The list goes on and on, but the message is clear: Kander is a liberal at heart and he will use any excuse necessary to advance the reckless and unpopular Democrat agenda.
