Tester’s vote today makes crystal clear his complete and utter disregard for Montana voters, who overwhelmingly support Judge Kavanaugh and want to see him confirmed to the court. Worse? It affirms that Tester doesn’t have the guts to stand up to his own party, even as the Democrats go to despicable new lows to smear President Trump’s pick for the Supreme Court.
“Senator Tester should be ashamed for standing by Washington Democrats and aiding their efforts to obstruct, delay and smear Judge Kavanaugh at all costs,” said NRSC Spokesman Calvin Moore. “Vice President Pence had it right: Tester was a no vote from the get-go because Kavanaugh is a conservative and Tester is part of the liberal Schumer resistance.”
