Jon Tester is wasting no time at all doubling down on his obstructionist pattern of behavior that led to President Trump’s call for the Montana Democrat to resign. Today, Senator Tester announced he will vote NO on Gina Haspel, who President Trump selected to head the CIA.

Given Senator Tester is Montana’s least bipartisan Senator and votes against President Trump more than 76% of the time, it should come as no surprise Tester is choosing to rubber stamp his Washington party bosses rather than take the opportunity to show some actual bipartisan independence.

“Moves like these show a clear pattern of behavior from Senator Tester that puts blind obstructionism to President Trump above all else,” said NRSC Spokesman Calvin Moore. “Montanans are taking notice that Senator Tester’s bipartisan song-and-dance is a total fraud. When it matters most, Tester will always choose Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi over hard-working Montana families.”
