Senator Jon Tester is coming under fire in a new report in Politico that exposes Tester’s hypocrisy on dark money and campaign finance reform. The issue was first raised in an ad released by the National Republican Senatorial Committee which showed in detail how Tester, in secret, carefully tiptoes around the legal restrictions on working with super PACs, while publicly grandstanding about ending dark money in politics.

The entire thing is pretty rich for a guy who promised his campaign “is not going to rely on super PACs or dark money groups” and who, as Politico notes, is “an outspoken supporter of campaign finance reform.”

Both are worth checking out, so in case you missed it, see the new report from Politico here and the NRSC’s ad here.
