Senator Tester’s deep roots in the Washington, D.C. “swamp” are being hung out to dry in the Montana Senate race.
Just a day after “Swampy Jon” was caught on video smugly quipping about wanting to sell his posh Capitol Hill residence, Tester’s challenger Matt Rosendale went up with a new TV ad this morning going after Tester for making himself rich in office and buying a million dollar “Cosmopolitan castle” where he lives in D.C.
“I don’t want a Castle in Washington and I don’t think becoming a Senator should make you rich enough to buy one,” Rosendale says in the new TV spot.
The renewed attention on Senator Tester’s comfy life in Washington, D.C. where he’s spent his entire career schmoozing with lobbyists, and making himself a multimillionaire on taxpayer’s backs, is sure to cause political nightmares for Tester, by exposing him for making Washington work – for himself.
“We’re glad Senator Tester’s already started looking at buyers for his million dollar home in Washington seeing as he won’t be needing it after he’s voted out this November,” said NRSC Spokesman Calvin Moore. “Tester has spent the last 20 years in office trying to cover up that he’s one of the swampiest politicians in Washington, but Montanans can see though through his shameful con.”
