Senator Jon Tester voted straight down party lines in an attempt to block a vote on Judge Neil Gorsuch’s confirmation to the Supreme Court. Tester has defied the will of Montanans to follow the obstructionist leadership of Chuck Schumer.
This is just another example of Tester siding with Washington’s liberal elite despite representing Montana, a state President Trump carried by 23 points in the November election. Tester’s decision to filibuster is an unprecedented example of far-left Senators choosing party politics over a functioning Supreme Court.
“Tester chose to play partisan games over representing folks at home,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “When Tester had to pick a side, he chose his radical colleagues over Montanans – and voters will remember that.”
