Tester’s tax lies
While Republicans are working hard to finalize historic tax relief legislation, Senator Tester has been busy touting fallacies to defend his vote to deny Montana families and businesses a much-deserved tax cut. Let’s take a moment to examine the facts.
FACT: Tester Voted Against The Senate GOP Tax Reform Plan That Would Reduce Tax Rates At Every Individual Income Level, Double Both The Standard Deduction And The Child Tax Credit, And Repeal The Obamacare Individual Mandate.
FACT: The Child Tax Credit Would Double From $1,000 To $2,000, With Income Eligibility Limits Greatly Expanded To $500,000 For Joint Filers (From $230,000). (CQ News, 11/17/17; Tax Foundation, 12/2/17)
FACT: The Average Montana Family Would See An Estimated Gain of $2,511 in After-Tax Income. (Tax Foundation, 11/10/2017)
“It’s clear Senator Tester isn’t going to let inconvenient things like facts get in the way of his blind loyalty to Washington Democrats and their mission to do whatever they can to block President Trump’s agenda,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “Tester’s opposition to historic tax relief is based on debunked liberal talking points rather than reality.”
The Pinocchios just keep mounting for Senate Democrats, who just can’t seem to stop spreading mistruths about the Republican tax relief…
Jacky Rosen is resorting to spreading debunked liberal lies to defend her reckless vote against the GOP’s tax plan.
