Texans will have more money in their pockets this tax season thanks to President Trump and John Cornyn passing the largest middle-class tax cut in history. According to IRS data, the Working Families Tax Cuts are saving Americans $2,290 on average this tax season, nearly 11% more than last year. Meanwhile, January inflation cooled to 2.4% year-over-year, beating expectations again.
“President Trump and John Cornyn are delivering bigger tax refunds and lowering inflation after four years of skyrocketing costs under Democrats’ failed policies,” said NRSC Communications Director Joanna Rodriguez. “While Jasmine Crockett voted against this historic tax relief, John Cornyn has been a champion for President Trump’s pro-worker agenda and will always fight to ensure Texans keep more of their hard-earned money.”
