Bill Nelson sure seems content letting Governor Rick Scott do his job. While Nelson was feigning concern on Twitter about the toxic algae bloom in Lake Okeechobee, Governor Rick Scott went straight to the White House about the problem.

At the White House, Governor Scott pushed for full funding to fix the federally-operated dike at Lake Okeechobee, which Bill Nelson has repeatedly failed to address during his nearly three decades in Congress.

At least someone is working for Floridians—and it sure isn’t Bill Nelson.

“Governor Rick Scott hasn’t even been elected yet and he’s already better at Bill Nelson’s job than Bill Nelson,” said NRSC Spokesperson Camille Gallo.
