This time, another major insurer is leaving the state’s health insurance exchange, leaving Florida families with even fewer options for healthcare coverage:
One of the nation’s largest insurance companies is pulling out of the Affordable Health Care Act (Obamacare) exchanges in most states, including Florida.
The company made the announcement Monday, saying they lost $200 million on ACA policies in the second quarter of 2015 alone…
United Health Care has announced they will scale back on ACA plans as well, leaving Floridians with a limited number of companies to choose from for 2017. (“Aetna Pulling Out Of Obamacare Exchanges In Florida, Other States,” First Coast News, 8/16/16)
Unfortunately for Murphy, the reality of the Obamacare debacle doesn’t square with his full-throated support for it. The departure of Aetna and UnitedHealth from the Florida exchange, as well as the news that costs for Florida plans would soon spike, means that Murphy is stuck with a pile of broken promises about the law he claimed would ‘create more competition’ and ‘bring down costs.’

Whether he’s talking about his resume, his make-believe history as an immigrant, or the consequences of his support for Obamacare, it’s obvious that Patrick Murphy has a problem telling the truth.
