Instead of celebrating middle-class families being able to keep more of their hard-earned money, Democrats are doubling-down on their opposition and holding a rally as we speak to discuss their plans to repeal the widely successful GOP tax cuts.
Today’s event is the latest reminder that if Democrats get their way, they won’t hesitate to strangle small businesses and families with higher taxes. With more than 500 companies around the country having announced bonuses, pay raises and investments in their workforce, the last thing folks need is Democrats erasing the economic progress Republicans have created. After already voting no on the wildly successful tax cuts, red state Democrats are going to face serious electoral consequences for trying to take away their constituents’ extra money.
“The last thing voters will support this November is Democrats’ radical plan to take away people’s tax cuts and claw back the extra money that’s making a difference in their lives,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “Expect red state Democrats to be held accountable for not only voting against more money for their constituents, but also for the out-of-touch policies the Democratic Party continues to embrace.”
