The Pinocchios just keep mounting for Senate Democrats, who just can’t seem to stop spreading mistruths about the Republican tax relief plan!
After receiving four Pinocchios from the Washington Post for falsely claiming the plan would raise taxes and two more for false claims about the Obamacare individual mandate tax, you’d think Senate Democrats would learn their lesson. But they’re back at it again, earning another four Pinnochio rating this morning for a blatantly false claim that the bill gives a tax break for private jets. So why are Senate Dems continuing to mislead Americans? Maybe they realize being on the wrong side of a bill that cuts taxes for middle-class families is not going to be a very popular position in the long run.
“Every time Senate Democrats open their mouths or take to Twitter, a new falsehood is born,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “At the end of the day, Democrats are fighting for higher taxes on American workers, and no amount of distorting the facts will distract from that reality.”
