2016 was a wild ride for Tim Kaine so he might have forgotten some choice words he used in 2013.
During a confirmation hearing that year, Kaine was caught on video saying:
“I think we owe deference to a President for choices to executive positions, and I think that is a very important thing to grapple with. The American public choose someone to be President, they’re giving that individual the mandate to govern, and that mandate includes the assembly of a team that the President feels is the appropriate team.”
With Kaine having confirmation hearings this week, will he stick to his original script and give President-elect Trump deference? Or will he cause gridlock and chaos like his fellow out-of-touch Washington liberals?
“Tim Kaine was crystal clear that respect should be given to the Commander in Chief’s decisions,” said NRSC Spokeswoman Katie Martin. “Now that his party is losing control of the White House, Kaine will prove, that in his extreme liberal mind, deference is only for Democrats.”
