Tina Smith Stands with Party Bosses on Impeachment
Minnesota was one of the closest races in the 2016 presidential election, and is sure to be watched again this year. But today, Senator Tina Smith chose to side with her Democratic Party bosses by voting to convict President Trump.
“Senator Smith’s vote to remove the President of the United States from office for the first time in American history was partisan and despicable,” said NRSC spokesperson Joanna Rodriguez. “Falling in line with her party’s most radical voices, Smith clearly put her own personal political interests first today.”
