Tom Steyer Passes On Patrick Murphy
Patrick Murphy’s trouble with the base continues today as Democrat megadonor Tom Steyer indicated he wouldn’t be supporting Murphy’s Senate bid.
This isn’t just a matter of Steyer picking and choosing a few races. He’s set to walk away from the Murphy campaign thanks to the congressman’s position on a major progressive issue – the Keyston XL pipeline.
- “Steyer’s well-funded super PAC, NextGen Climate Action, won’t back Senate candidates who supported the controversial pipeline, unless they have a public change of heart, the group told POLITICO…The Keystone litmus test suggests that Steyer’s group won’t support candidates like Sen.
