President Trump hammered Schumer-controlled Bill Nelson during a rally in Tampa tonight, attacking Nelson’s habit of playing hooky until right before an election and destroying Nelson’s phony attempts at pretending to be an “independent voice” in Washington.
President Trump reminded Floridians that when push comes to shove Bill Nelson will always toe the Democratic Party line, voting with liberal Chuck Schumer over 90% of the time and voting against tax cuts that are already helping hardworking Florida families.
Trump didn’t stop there as he blasted the no-show senator saying, “The only time I see Bill Nelson is 5 months before a re-election. After a while you forget, who’s the senator?”
Unfortunately for Bill, the President’s remarks put a spotlight on his long political career that’s short on accomplishments, further damaging his already struggling campaign.
“President Trump made it clear that Bill Nelson is a typical career politician that only shows his face right before an election and always puts his liberal party leaders first, not Floridians,” said Camille Gallo NRSC Spokesperson. “Nelson can try to pretend he’s concerned about Floridians, but voters know the career politician only cares about keeping his taxpayer-funded job and pleasing his party bosses in Washington.”
