Hours after Fox News exposed Senator Tester for pretending to be a hunter (despite not having a hunting license in 6 years), Donald Trump Jr. took to Twitter and blasted Senator Tester as a “phony,” and urged Montanans to elect Matt Rosendale.
“If there’s one thing the people of Montana hate it’s a phony,” Trump Jr. wrote. “Jon Tester pretends he’s an outdoorsman but he’s just the swamp and the #1 recipient of cash from DC lobbyists. Wake up & vote @MattForMontana in November.”
The criticism is sure to have #TwoFacedTester sweating as polls continue to show this race closer than ever. But Trump Jr.’s swipe at the Senator is even more likely to leave a mark, given Trump Jr. is an avid outdoorsman who has enjoyed several hunting trips to Montana and is returning to the state for a rally on September 25th in support of Matt Rosendale.
