The NRSC debuted its first 2018 TV ad in Missouri this morning, reminding voters that Claire McCaskill has gotten rich at taxpayers’ expense.

McCaskill and her husband have been running a lucrative grift since she was first elected to the Senate. The year before McCaskill came to Washington, her husband made less than $17,000 from his companies dealing in government subsidized housing. Last year, that income had risen to as much as $1 million. In the interim, more than $131 million in federal subsidies were directed to those same companies. It’s clear who McCaskill is looking out for.

“Claire McCaskill is supposed to be a watchdog for Missourians, but the only thing she’s been watching is her bank account balance as it soars at taxpayers’ expense,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “Missouri can’t afford another six years of Claire McCaskill bilking them out of millions with her corrupt business schemes.”

SCRIPT:

ANNCR: It’s classic Washington.

ANNCR: Claire McCaskill. A corrupt Washington subsidy Missouri can’t afford.
