The NRSC’s latest TV ad in West Virginia hit the airwaves today, informing voters how Joe Manchin got so rich during his career in politics.

It’s the age-old story of the swamp. A politician comes to Washington and suddenly, businesses connected to him and family members become wildly profitable. In Joe Manchin’s case, the Senator set up a coal-brokering company, which he handed off to his son. And now that he’s sitting on subcommittees that oversee the industry, the cash is pouring in to the tune of over $5 million in profits since he took office. Guess we know what Joe’s celebrating on his infamous Washington party boat.

“Joe Manchin represents the absolute worst of the swamp West Virginians elected President Trump to drain,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “Instead of looking out for West Virginia families, Manchin has spent his time in Washington padding his own bank account and funding his luxury lifestyle, and it’s time for voters at home to send him packing.”
