In case you missed it, Politifact gave Tammy Baldwin a “full flop” rating for breaking another promise today. This is just another indication that her radical views are costing Wisconsin families a voice in Washington.

“Wisconsin’s Tammy Baldwin was one of many U.S. Senators who abruptly switched from offense to defense in the wake of President Donald Trump’s inauguration…Baldwin said during the Garland process the Senate should give him “fair consideration,” and she pledged the same thing to Gorsuch in a statement issued the day of his nomination. Two days later she announced plans to vote against Gorsuch, before meeting with him or participating in any hearing process…

“When Baldwin’s party put forth a Supreme Court nominee, she advocated for a ‘timely vote’ and an ‘up or down vote.’ A common-sense interpretation is that she wanted a final nomination vote, where passing meant being approved by the Senate. But now that Baldwin is in the minority and facing a Republican nominee, she is supporting a filibuster…That’s what we call a Full Flop.” (Politifact, 2/22/2017)

But wait!

This wasn’t Baldwin’s only bad fact check of the day. The Washington Post also gave her TWO PINOCCHIOS for her claim that there is a 60-vote “standard” for U.S. Supreme Court Nominees.

From the Washington Post:

“Democrats continue to be slippery with their language. Sixty votes is not “a standard” for Supreme Court confirmations, as two of the current justices on the court did not meet that supposed standard to get on the court.

Baldwin earns Two Pinocchios.”

January 31, 2017: Tammy Baldwin Statement – “The importance of the Supreme Court and the decisions they make have a profound effect on the daily lives of all Americans so I will do my job to fully review Judge Gorsuch’s record. I also look forward to meeting with him…”

February 2, 2017: Tammy Baldwin announced she will block Judge Gorsuch’s nomination to the Supreme Court.
