WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) released a new ad today exposing Ken Paxton for blindly funneling hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to liberal organizations.
“Ken Paxton is so asleep at the wheel he is treating taxpayer dollars like Monopoly money,” said NRSC Communications Director Joanna Rodriguez. “Texas needs a Senator who will stand up to the radical left, not one who is giving taxpayer dollars to fund their extremist agenda.”

Ken Paxton is blindly funneling millions of taxpayer dollars to liberal organizations:
- Paxton signed a contract worth more than one hundred million dollars for a company whose C-suite threw a DEI policy conference, complete with a group that pushes the 1619 Project and tells others “how to be an anti-racist organization.”
- Paxton is forcing taxpayers to foot the bill for a multimillion dollar, five-year contract for a company that won a national award spot for its DEI commitment, calling it “lifelong” and “a journey, not a destination.” The contract winner’s VP of DEI has only ever donated to Kamala Harris and Joe Biden.
- After Paxton awarded them their multimillion-dollar contract, the company’s DEI standing shot up over 200 spots to become a top, nationwide DEI contender.
- Since Ken Paxton has been Attorney General, TX OAG employees have donated $61,630.01 to Democrat causes and candidates, including Beto O’Rourke, Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Ilhan Omar.
- Paxton hired costly outside counsel with liberal ties, sometimes charging Texas taxpayers as much as $3,780 an hour.
- One Paxton-hired law firm partner gave the legal maximum allowance of campaign cash to Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden.
- Another is a “strong advocate for increasing Diversity… a culture of respect, inclusion, and openness,” and a former Clinton administration staffer.
- One of Paxton’s outside counsel firms even defended a Guantanamo Bay detainee and Iraqi war criminal.
