Washington, D.C. – While in Washington today, Senate candidate Val Demings refused to answer whether she agrees with Speaker Nancy Pelosi that Ilhan Omar is a valuable member of the Democrats’ caucus.
She won’t speak up to condemn the hateful and anti-Semitic comments by her “squad” pal Ilhan Omar and now dodges questions on whether Omar is a valued member of the Caucus. So where does Demings really stand? Floridians deserve to know.
Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Priscilla Ivasco: “Val Demings refuses to take a position on anti-Israel and anti-Semitic comments from her allies in the House. Yesterday she ducked questions on whether Ilhan Omar is a valued member of the Democrat Caucus and she’s refused to condemn the comments from her ally and fellow House Democrat. Demings’ silence is an implicit endorsement of the anti-Israel and anti-Semitic comments. Floridians deserve to hear a real answer.”
