WASHINGTON, D.C. — Tonight, Janet Mills gave her final State of the State address and highlighted the progressive agenda she has forced on Maine, including a call for universal healthcare like Medicare for All. Despite the rosy picture she tried to paint, Janet Mills has spent her time as Governor raising taxes, expanding transgender policies, providing taxpayer-funded healthcare to undocumented immigrants, and repeatedly clashing with the Trump administration.
“As Governor, Janet Mills expanded transgender policies, offered taxpayer-funded healthcare to illegal immigrants, and fought President Trump every chance she had,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell. “Mainers deserve a senator who puts leadership above politics, not Mills, who is more interested in advancing her radical agenda like Medicare for All.”
